NBA Rookie of the Year
About
Annual award given to the top rookie in the regular season in the National Basketball Association. The name of the trophy, the Eddie Gottlieb Trophy, is named after the former Philadelphia Warriors head coach.
Trivia
The recipient of the award is selected by a panel of sportswriters and broadcasters from the United States and Canada. Ralph Sampson, David Robinson, Blake Griffin, Damian Lillard and Karl-Anthony Towns won the award unanimously.
