Veteran television actress who started to breakthrough in 2016-2017 with a recurring role in Underground before earning series regular parts as Shameeka Campbell and Nola Darling in Shots Fired and Netflix's She's Gotta Have It, respectively.
She graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. While there, she trained at the Atlantic Theatre Company Acting School and would star in award-winning shorts and independent features.
She originated the role of Nina in Dominique Morisseau's production of Sunset Baby.
She married actor Alano Miller in 2009.
The show She's Got Have It in which she would star is a remake of the Spike Lee film of the same name. Lee would also direct the TV adaptation.
