Triathlete who won a gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, while representing Austria.
She began running at a very young age, and used to run to primary school in the morning.
In 2004 she was chosen as Austria's Sportspersonality of the Year.
She married Marcel Diechtler in 1999.
At the 2004 Olympics she defeated many talented athletes, including Samantha McGlone.
