She helped lead Team USA to a U-18 gold medal at the 2004 FIBA Americas Championship.
Her jersey is retired at the University of Maryland, where she was the Most Outstanding Player at the 2006 NCAA Tournament, while leading her school to a national championship.
Her uncle, David DeJernett was a basketball pioneer.
