A boy and his foster father become stranded in the wilderness of New Zealand. Shortly after their disappearance, they become the subjects of a nationwide manhunt. The movie was written and directed by Taika Waititi.

The film is based upon the book Wild Pork and Watercress by Barry Crump. It premiered at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival.
