Shane Koyczan

Famous for his anti-bullying-themed, spoken-word work "To This Day," this Canadian poet is also known for several published poetry collections, including Stickboy and Our Deathbeds Will Be Thirsty.
At the start of his literary and performing careers, he was the champion of the 2000 National Poetry Slam.
He co-founded a spoken-word poetry group called Tons of Fun University (or T.O.F.U.).
He spent his early days in Yellowknife, Canada, and the bulk of his childhood in Penticton, British Columbia.
He and New York-born writer Nicole Blackman are both notable spoken-word poets.
