Singer who came to prominence in the late 90s through her collaborations with R. Kelly. She eventually became a key witness in Kelly's 2008 child pornography case, claiming that the young girl in the video in question was her 14-year-old niece.
She grew up in Chicago, Illinois and first met Kelly in 1989.
Her 1998 debut single "Be Careful" shot to the top spot on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay.
Her real name is Stephanie Edwards. Her family had their own gospel music group.
